NEWPORT CITY COUNCIL (SKINNER LANE NEWPORT) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2018
Notice is hereby given that Newport City Council in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) has made an order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Skinner Lane from the line of the back of the footway on Skinner Street to the line on the back of the footway on Corn Street. An alternative route is available. The reason for making the order is to allow the conversion of the upper parts of Olympia House. Hoists, skips and materials will be located on Skinner Street. The order is operative from 5th February 2018 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will be completed in 12 months. Emergency vehicle and pedestrian access will be available only from the Skinner Street end of Skinner Lane.

Hysbysir trwy hyn bod Cyngor Dinas Casnewydd wrth weithredu ei bwerau o dan y Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 (fel y'i diwygiwyd) wedi gwneud gorchymyn, a fydd a'r effaith o wahardd cerbydau rhag mynd ar hyd Skinner Lane o linell cefn y droedffordd ar Skinner Street i linell cefn y droedffordd ar Corn Street. Bydd llwybr amgen ar gael. Y rheswm dros wneud y gorchymyn yw caniatau trosi rhannau uchaf Olympia House. Bydd taith, sgipiau a deunyddiau wedi u lleoli ar Skinner Street. Bydd y gorchymyn yn weithredol o 5ed Chwefror 2018 a bydd yn parhau mewn grym am gyfnod nid yn fwy na 18 mis neu nes bydd y gwaith y bwriedir ei wneud wedi ei gwblhau, p un bynnag sydd gynharaf. Rhagwelir y dydd y gwaith yn cael ei gwblhau mewn 12 mis. Bydd mynediad i gerbydau brys a cherddwyr ar gael yn unig o ben Skinner Street Skinner Lane.
