Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 The County of Wiltshire (Various Roads, Orcheston and Shrewton) (30mph Speed Limit) Order 2018
(Previously advertised as 2016) Notice is hereby given that on 30 January 2018 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is to introduce a 30mph speed limit on C291 Elston Lane - from a point 95 metres north of its junction with B3086 London Road in a north westerly direction to its junction with Elston Hill; C291 Elston Road - from a point 60 metres east of its junction with Whatcombe Brow to a point 200 metres west of that junction; UC 54401 - from its junction with Elston Road for a distance of 200 metres in a southerly direction; UC 54402 Whatcombe Brow - from its junction with Elston Road in a northerly direction to a point outside property known as 'Threepenny Bit'. A copy of the Order and plan may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. The Order will come into operation on 12 February 2018.
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Extension of Pedestrian Crossing - A338 Salisbury Road, Downton
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council in exercise of its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation I Act 1984 proposes to extend the number of zig-zag markings of the existing Puffin Crossing on A338 Salisbury Road, Downton by a number of 2 markings, a length of 5 metres on the southern side of the existing crossing. A copy of the plan showing the length of extended markings may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Details of the proposed scheme may be seen at Downton Library, Church Leat, Downton between the hours of 2pm to 7pm Monday, 2pm to 5pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 10am to 5pm Thursday and 10am to 1pm Saturday until 5 March 2018. Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic to enable Eurovia to undertake works for carriageway resurfacing, surface dressing and road markings: (a) South Lane, Nomansland, Landford; from its junction with North Lane to its junction with Forest Road. Alternative route via North Lane - Forest Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 5 March 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 7 March 2018; (b) A345 (Part) Netheravon Road, Durrington/Figheldean; from its junction with Clover Lane to its junction with High Street. Alternative route via A345 (unaffected length) - A342 - A338 - A303 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 7 March 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 9 March 2018; (c) C336 (Part) Witherington Road/Barford Lane, Alderbury and Downton; from its junction with Tunnel Hill to its junction with B3080 High Street/Lode Hill. Alternative route via Shute End - Southampton Road - A36 - A338 - B3080 The Borough/High Street and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 6 March 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 8 March 2018. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: (d) Hindon Lane (Part), Tisbury; from its junction with Grosvenor Drive for a distance of approximately of 220m in a north-westerly direction to enable BT Openreach to undertake work on overhead structure. Alternative route via Hindon Lane (unaffected length) - High Street - Vicarage Road - Tuckingmill -Hatch Lane - Windlestraw Lane - C43 (Oddford Brook to Tisbury Lodge) - Hindon Lane (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 5 March 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30 for two days. Alternative route via UC Middledean (unaffected length) - Loders Lane - Barbers Lane - A30 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 5 March 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 23 March 2018. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: (f) Dean Lane (Part), Whiteparish; from a point proximate to property Ash Lodge for a distance of approximately of 50m in a northerly direction to enable SGN to carry out essential gas works. Alternative route via Dean Lane (unaffected length) - Miles Lane - A27 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 12 February 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 16 February 2018. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated durations to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are
possible due to the nature of some of the works. The Orders will have a maximum duration of 18 months.
