NEWPORT CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS NEWPORT) (VARIOUS SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2018
Newport City Council hereby gives notice that it proposes to make the above named order under sections 84(1) and (2) and sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3) and 4(2) and part IV of schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to impose a speed limit of 60mph on the lengths of road specified in schedule 1 to this notice, 50mph on the lengths of road specified in schedule 2 to this notice, 40mph on the lengths of road specified in schedule 3 to this notice, and to revoke the County Council of Gwent (A48 Cardiff Rd Newport) (50mph Speed Limit) (No 5) Order 1993 and the single item in schedule 1 (A48 Cardiff Rd) and item (b) in schedule 2 of the Newport City
Council (A48 Cardiff Rd Newport) (Speed Limit)
Order 2006. A copy of the proposed order, a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing it and maps indicating its location and effect may be inspected at the Civic Centre Newport NP20 4UR during normal office hours. Objections to the order and other representations may be made to the undersigned by 26 February 2018. All objections and other representations must be made in writing and all objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.
