Herefordshire Council Notice of Making
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, under its relevant powers, have made the U75230 The Drain, Dorstone, Temporary Closure Order 2017 to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the following road: U75230 The Drain from the junction with Pont Y Weston Road to the junction with Green Lane OS Grid Ref: 328200 / 240652. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the U75230 Nant Y Bar onto the C1208 onto the C1207 at Dorstone Village onto Pitt Road onto the U75228 Dorstone Penlan and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to the safe access for drainage repair works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 5th February 2018 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months, (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State), but the works are expected to be completed within 2 weeks.
