PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER

THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF BOLTON RRESTRICTED BY WAY NO. 396 BOLTON PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2018
The above Order, made on 25 January 2018 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and under section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by diverting part of Restricted Byway 396 Bolton as follows:
Restricted Byway No. 396 Bolton situated within the former Cutacre Open Cast mining site, South of the A6, Salford Road, Bolton (Employment Zone) commencing from point A at grid reference SD369793 404629 in a generally south-south westerly direction to point B at grid reference SD369791.79 404621.81 for a distance of approximately 8 metres then in a generally south by easterly direction to point C at grid reference SD369803 404499 for a distance of approximately 123 metres as shown by the continuous bold black line between points A-B-C on the Order Plan over a total distance of approximately 131 metres of a width of 3 metres throughout.
The nam liaa will commence from point A at grid reference SD369793 404629 in a generally south-south westerly direction to point D at grid reference SD369791.15 404621.72 for a distance of approximately 8 metres then running in a generally southerly direction to point E at grid reference SD369798 404504 for a distance of approximately 118 metres then running in a generally south easterly direction to point C at grid reference SD369803 404499 for a distance of approximately 7 metres as shown by the bold black broken line between points A-D-E-C on the Order Plan over a total distance of approximately 133 metres. The width between points A-D-E-C will be 3 metres throughout over a limestone surface.

A copy of the Order and Plan have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the One Stop Shop, Town Hall, Bolton during office hours. Copies of the Order and Plan may be purchased.
Objections or representations should state the grounds on which they are made and either sent to nicola.raby@bolton.gov.uk or in writing to Nicola Raby at the address below not later than 16 March 2018.
If no objections or representations are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for confirmation, any objections or representations which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.

THE BOLTON (PUBLIC FOOTPATHS NO. 040,038 * 037 LITTLE LEVER] [TEMPORARY CLOSURE) (N0.34) OBDEB 2018
The Borough Council of Bolton has made an Order, which will be operative from 1st February 2018, which will prohibit all pedestrian traffic from using Public Footpaths No. 040 & 038 Little Lever commencing from Prestolee Road; point A at grid reference SD 375262 406483 in a generally east by northerly direction to point B at grid reference SD 375872 406613 as shown by the bold black line on the Order plan 1LH040/038/037 over a total distance of approximately 730 metres. This Order will also prohibit all pedestrian traffic from using Public Footpath No. 037 Little Lever commencing from Ladyshore Road; point D at grid reference SD 376363 406687 in a generally west north-westerly direction to point C at grid reference SD 376308 406705 as shown by the bold black line on the Order plan 1UI040/038/037 over a total distance of approximately 58 metres.
No alternative route is available.
The Order is necessary to facilitate resurfacing of the Manchester, Bolton and Bury canal towpath and will continue for a period of 6 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.

THE BOLTON (PUBUC FOOTPATH OLACKROD 008) [TEMPORARY CLOSURE) (N0.35) ORDER 2018
The Borough Council of Bolton has made an Order, which will be operative on the 2nd February, 2018 which will prohibit all pedestrian traffic from using Public Footpath 008 Blackrod commencing from a point to the south west of Aspinall Way, Horwich; point A at grid reference SD 364107 409585 in a generally west- south westerly direction to point B at grid reference SD 363540 409391 as shown by the bold black line on the Order plan 1 Bla008 over a total distance of approximately 616 metres.
An alternative route is available commencing from Public footpath Blackrod 010; point A at grid reference SD364107 409585, then Blackrod 009, Bolton 288, Bolton 290, Bolton 293, Bolton 295, Bolton 296; point B at grid reference SD 363540 409391 as shown by the blue line with arrowheads on the Order plan 1 Bla008.

The Order is necessary to facilitate core railway engineering works and construction of a new footbridge and will continue for a period of 6 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
