WOKINGHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL (B3030 ROBINHOOD LANE, WINNERSH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2018
NOTICE IS HEREBY given that on the 5th February 2018 Wokingham Borough Council as Traffic Authority made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along B3030 Robinhood Lane, Winnersh between its junctions with A329 Reading Road and Sandford Lane
The reason for this prohibition is allow Wokingham Borough Council contractors to undertake the installation of a new signalised crossing in safety.
The alternative route for all vehicles affected by this restriction shall be via B3030 Davis Street, B3030 Lodge Road, A321 Broadwater Lane, A321 Hurst Road, A321 Waltham Road, A321 Church Road, A321 Wargrave Road, A4 New Bath Road, A4 Bath Road, B3350 Pitts Lane, B3350 Church Road, A329 Wokingham Road and A329 Reading Road, or by this route in reverse.
Access for residents and businesses within the boundary of the restriction will be maintained at all times.
The restriction imposed by the Order shall only apply during those periods when traffic signs complying with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 are lawfully displayed.
The restrictions contained in the Order shall come into operation on the 12th February 2018 and shall continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier. It is, however, expected that works requiring this restriction shall be completed by 16th February 2018. The restriction will, however, be in effect between the hours of 09:30 and 16:00.
