Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the U75226 Chapel Lane, Dorstone Temporary Closure Order 2017 to
temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles from the junction with U75225 Dorstone Village Lane to the junction with the U75226 Church Road OS Grid Ref: 331539 / 241610. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the U75225 Dorstone Village road onto the C1207 from B4348 to Gattimer Lane onto the U75226 Church Road and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to the installation of a new underground electricity supply and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 12th February 2018 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months, (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State), but the works are expected to be completed within 3 days.
