DARLINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL -VARIATION OF CHARGES FOR OFF STREET PARKING PLACES
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 35C of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that Darlington Borough Council is varying the charges for parking at short stay and long stay off street parking places. Currently a disabled person's vehicle can park without payment in short stay car parks (Commercial Street East, Commercial Street West, Abbotts Yard, Winston Street North, Winston Street South, East Street, Park Place East, Park Place West and Park Lane) for the first three hours and in long stay car parks (Archer Street, Central House, Chesnut Street, Garden Street, Hird Street, Kendrew Street East, Kendrew Street West and St Hilda's) at all times. They will now be required to pay £1 per hour or part thereof at short stay car parks and £1 per hour (first 3 hours) and daily ticket £4 in long staycar parks. Tickets bought for disabled person's vehicles maybe transferred between short staycar parks for the period for which theywere purchased. These changes will come into effect from 9th February 2018.
