BUS LANE ORDER 2017
NOTICE is hereby given that on the 29th December 2017 Gloucestershire County Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is to revoke and replace the existing Traffic Regulation Orders governing Bus Lanes in Gloucestershire. This is an administrative change to ensure the content of the Traffic Regulation Order reflects current working practices and Council Policy, and provides a consistent basis for all Bus Lanes in the County. This is a largely administrative process, although some small changes to some bus lane restrictions wil be made to bring them in line with current County Policy/practice
1. The Gloucestershire County Council Bus Lane Order 2017 wil revoke and replace the following Orders or parts of Orders

2. The Gloucestershire CountyCouncil Bus Lane Order 2017 shall come into operation on the 15th January 2018 and may be cited as the Gloucestershire CountyCouncil Bus Lane Order 2017.
This administrative change updates the basis of all Bus Lanes in Gloucestershire, including any made in the future, and therefore potentially affects every District and Parish The following roads currently have bus lanes that will be included in the proposed Order
- A40 Gloucester Road, Cheltenham
- A40 Lansdown Road (eastbound), Cheltenham
- Albion Street, Cheltenham
- Bristol Road (Podsmead), Gloucester
- Bristol Road (Quedgeley), Gloucester
- Brunswick Road, Gloucester
- Cheltenham Road, Gloucester
- Clarence Street, Gloucester
- Guan Road, Brockworth
- High Street, Cheltenham
- Llanthony Road, Gloucester
- Lower Northgate Street, Gloucester
- Market Parade, Gloucester
- Middle Mead, Cirencester
- Portland Street, Cheltenham
- Valley Gardens Gloucester
- Woodvale, Gloucester
A copy of the sealed Order together with a copy of the Statement of Reasons, may be inspected during normal working hours at Mair Reception Shire Hall, Gloucester GL1 2TG (Please quote reference JKS/62072) or can be viewed atwww.gloucestershire.gov.uk/buslaneorder. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the ground that any requirement to that Act or any Statutory Instrument made under it has not beer complied with in relation to the Variation may within six weeks of the date on which the Variation is made, apply to the High Court for this purpose Any comments that you make concerning this proposal cannot be treated as confidential.
