Notice of Temporary Traffic Order Chesterton,Alchester Road and The Hale Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 25 September 2017 Coming into force: 15 January 2018 This Order was introduced for new gas main installation work to be carried out in 2 phases through September-October 2017 but was postponed.The new dates are as follows - The Hale, 15 to 28 January; and Alchester Road 29 January to 18 February 2018.
This Order was introduced for new gas main installation work to be carried out in 2 phases through September-October 2017 but was postponed.The new dates are as follows - The Hale, 15 to 28 January; and Alchester Road 29 January to 18 February 2018.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding or waiting in the length of Alchester Road from its junction with the A4095 Bignell View south-eastwards to Orchard Rise, and The Hale from the A4095 southwards to Green Lane. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative routes for traffic are for Alchester Road is viaA4095 Bignell View, Green Lane and vice versa. For The Hale via Green Lane,Alchester Road,A4095 Bignell View and vice versa.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
