WESTERDALE COMMON
Notice ID:WESTERDALE COMMON The graziers of High Blakey Moor have applied to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for consent under section 38 of the Commons Act 2006 to carry out restricted works on Westerdale Common. The Planning Inspectorate will decide the application on behalf of the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. The proposed works are: (i) a 995 metre length of fencing from Blakey Road going west along the footpath towards High Hill Top. The works will be located in the south of the common, close to the border with Spaunton. The proposed fence runs south of the footpath. The fencing will be wooden posts 1.1 metres to 1.2 metres high supporting 7 strands of high tensile plain wire. A copy of the application form and accompanying documents can be inspected at Pickering Library, The Ropery, Pickering, North Yorkshire, YO18 8DY during normal office hours until 20th November.
