TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled "The Stopping up of Highway (North West) (No. 82) Order 2017" authorising the stopping up of a length, part width and irregular shaped area of Gilpin Place, the whole of Rawthey Place, a length of Brock Place and a length and part width of Calder Drive at Wigan, in the Metropolitan Borough of Wigan, to enable development as permitted by Wigan Metropolitan Borough Council, reference A/16/83258/MAJOR.
Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 7AR or nationalcasework@dft.gsi.gov.uk (quoting NATTRAN/NW/S247/3087) and may be inspected during normal opening hours at Piatt Bridge Post Office, 1 Bank Buildings, Walthew Lane, Piatt Bridge, Wigan WN2 5DB.
Any person aggrieved by or desiring to question the validity of or any provision within the Order, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement or regulation made has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks of 18 January 2018 apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision included.
