Temporary Closure of Nothe Parade,Weymouth
DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along NOTHE PARADE, WEYMOUTH from the Slipway on Nothe Parade to approximately outside of the Weymouth Sailing Club, a distance of approximately 110 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on 5th February 2018 and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 4th March 2018. This order will enable Wessex Water to allow safe access to replace the water main. On this occasion no vehicular diversion route will be available, however access can be arranged with Wessex Water if safe to do so. Pedestrian access will be maintained. Temporary Traffic Management Order Of South Street, Dorchester
DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on 5 February 2018 and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 30 March 2018. But it will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary. This order will enable Dorset County Council to carry out paving works as part of the DTEP scheme.
The effect of the Order is as follows;
[1] To impose a road closure from its junction with Durngate Street to its junction with New Street, a distance of 160 metres.
[2] To revoke the No Entry at Durngate Street to allow the Cornhill Market Traders to access from the top of South Street (from High West Street) and exit South Street by Durngate Street.
[3] To impose a road closure overnight between 1900 and 0700 on Tuesday 13 March
2018 from its junction with New Street to its junction with Durngate Street
