ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES ALDER ROAD
THE POOLE (ALDER ROAD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2018
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Borough and County of the Town of Poole, the Highway Authority, is satisfied that traffic on the said Road should be prohibited and intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order in exercise of its powers under The Highways Act 1980, The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and The Local Authorities Traffic Order (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations, the effect of this Order is detailed below. FROM 7AM ON MONDAY 12 FEBRUARY TO 5.30PM ON FRIDAY 16 FEBRUARY 2018 ALDER ROAD WILL BE CLOSED BETWEEN HERBERT AVENUE AND YARMOUTH ROAD THIS WILL ALSO INCLUDE A CLOSURE OF THE JUNCTION OF PLAYFIELDS DRIVE WITH ALDER ROAD FROM 7AM ON MONDAY 19 FEBRUARY TO 5.30PM ON WEDNESDAY 28 FEBRUARY 2018

A SOUTHBOUND CLOSURE WILL BE IN PLACE FROM YARMOUTH ROAD TO ASHLEY ROAD THIS WILL ALSO INCLUDE THE CLOSURE OF THE JUNCTIONS OF GWYNNE ROAD AND RECREATION ROAD WITH ALDER ROAD.

Frontagers and Emergency Services will be given precise details of the works in due course. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Emergency vehicles will be accommodated on a one-off basis. A diversion will be signed. THE CLOSURES ARE REQUIRED FOR DUCT INSTALLATION WORK AND CARRIAGEWAY RESURFACING The proposed Order is effective from 7am on Monday 12 February 2018 until 5.30pm on Wednesday 28 February 2018. The Order is operative for the period mentioned above but will continue in force for the statutory period of eighteen months if required. If the works are not completed within the statutory period the Order may be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport. Any person who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the Order will be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £1000.
