LONDON BOROUGH OF BROMLEY AS LOCAL AUTHORITY
Change of Age Range at Riverside Community Special School
Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 19(1) of the Education and Inspections Act 2006 and the School Organisation (Prescribed Alterations to Maintained Schools) (England) Regulations 2013 that the London Borough of Bromley, Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley BR1 3UH is proposing to lower the age range at Riverside School, Main Road, St Paul's Cray, Orpington, Kent, BR5 3HS and 2 Hayne Rd, Beckenham BR3 4HY from 16 April 2018 to 3 years old through the introduction of an 8 FTE nursery for children aged 3 and 4.
Riverside School has a capacity of 251. The proposed change in age range would lower the age range at the school from 4-19 years old to 3-19 years old and increase the capacity from 251 to 259. The current number on roll at the school is 247.
The London Borough of Bromley will implement the proposals.

Explanatory Notes
The London Borough of Bromley aims to determine the Statutory Notice in February 2018. If the Council fails to determine the Notice within two months of the end of the representation period it will pass all relevant material to the Schools Adjudicator who will determine the Notice.
