NOTICE OF PROPOSED PARKING PLACES ORDER THE THREE RIVERS (RICKMANSWORTH) (OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2006 (AMENDMENT NO.3) ORDER 201Y
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Three Rivers District Council, acting as agents for the Hertfordshire County Council and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police proposes to make the above named Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Full details of these proposals are set out in the draft Orders which, together with plans and a statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders, can be examined during normal opening hours at the Council’s offices in Rickmansworth. Details can also be viewed on the Council’s web site at www.threerivers.gov.uk  The effects of this order would be to implement decisions taken by the District Council to: Introduce a requirement for tickets to be displayed at free car parks in the district, in order to reduce the amount of enforcement required • Introduce 1 hour of free parking in eight car parks in Rickmansworth, changing these car parks from 2-hour to 4-hour maximum stay • Introduce charges for parking for longer in those car parks, at £1 for the 2nd hour, £2.50 for the 3rd hour and £4 for up to 4 hours • Change the service provided at the Northway (lower deck) car park to long-stay (maximum stay 24-hours) at £4 per day • Change the service provided at the Talbot Road (High Street) car park to 4-hour stay, with one hour free parking • Introduce new parking payment mechanisms that do not accept the use of cash.
