(PURLEY LANE, PURLEY-ON-THAMES) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2018

West Berkshire District Council INTENDS, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an order in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over Purley Lane, between its junction with Purley Village and its junction with Westridge Avenue. The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via Purley village, New Hill and Reading Road. The purpose of this Order is to enable works to install Civil Infrastructure on behalf of BT. The proposed Order will come into effect on 29th January 2018. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 29th January and 2nd February 2018. The Order shall remain in force for a period of Eighteen months, or until the works are complete, whichever is the soonest.

(UNNAMED ROAD KNOWN AS MORTIMER LANE, STRATFIELD MORTIMER) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2018

West Berkshire District Council has made an Order in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over the unnamed road known as Mortimer Lane, between its junction with Station Road and its junction with Park Lane.

The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via Station Road, The Street, Pitfield Lane, and Park Lane. Please be advised that the stretch from Park Lane to Green Lane in Hampshire will also be closed during the same period, the diversion will be signed on site.

The purpose of this Order is to enable replacement

of water pipes by Thames Water contractors.

The proposed Order will come into effect on 15th

January 2018. It is envisaged that the closure will be

in place between 15th January and 26th February

2018. The Order shall remain in force for a period

of Eighteen months, or until the works are complete,

whichever is the soonest.

The Order was made on 8th January 2018.

The above orders will not take effect until approved

traffic signs have been erected.
