M27 MOTORWAY JUNCTIONS 7- 5 TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited(a) intends to make an Order on the M27 Motorway in the County of Hampshire and the Unitary Authority of Southampton, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road. The effect of the Order would be to authorise the overnight weekday closure of:
(a) the westbound carriageway of the motorway between the tip of the nosing of the exit slip road at Junction 7 (A334) and the tip of the nosing of the entry slip road at Junction 5 (A335);
(b) the road leading to the westbound carriageway of the motorway at Junction 7 (A334); and
(c) the road leading from the westbound carriageway of the motorway at Junction 5 (A335). These measures would be in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake bridge works including joint replacement, drainage maintenance, barrier and carriageway maintenance and all associated works.
It is expected that the work would last for approximately 3 weeks starting on or after Monday 15th January 2018. The majority of the work would involve the slip road in c) above but there is a requirement for the closure in a) and b) for one night. The overnight closures would take place between 21:00 and 06:00 (maximum period).
The Order would come into force on 13 January 2018 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months. Traffic affected by the closures in a) and b) above would be diverted using the A334, A27, Wide Lane and A335. Traffic affected by the closure in c) above would be diverted westbound to Junction 3 (M271) and return. The temporary closures and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.

A31 TRUNK ROAD TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the A31 Trunk Road in the Counties of Hampshire and Dorset, and the Unitary Authority of Poole, under Section 14(1)(a) and 14(1)(c) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road. The effect of the Order is to authorise the phased overnight closure of:
(a) both carriageways of the A31 between its junction with the M27 at Junction 1 and Bere Regis roundabout (A35);
(b) the slip roads leading to and from the carriageways described in (a) above;
(c) access to and from the side roads adjacent to the carriageways described in (a) above;
(d) any lay-by and bus stop adjacent to the carriageways described in (a) above;
(e) any gaps in the central reservation between the carriageways described in (a) above; and
(f) any footpaths, cycle ways and bridleways adjacent to the carriageway described in (a) above.
These measures are in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake a 12-month programme of planned Cyclical Maintenance (drainage, lighting, signage, inspections and surveys, maintenance and clearance of vegetation, litter picking and clearance, road sweeping, emergency crossing point maintenance and clearance of injurious weeds).

The duration of each closure will vary depending on the nature of the maintenance work being undertaken on each occasion. The programme of works will start on or after 1st January 2018. The overnight closures will be in operation between 21:00 and 06:00 (maximum period). The Order will come into force on 1st January 2018 and shall remain in force until 23rd December 2018. During closure above, traffic affected will be diverted using other junctions of the A31, or the A326, A35, A3060, A338, A347, B3073, A348, A337, A341, A350, A349, and A341. The diversion route will vary depending on the closure in place and will be clearly signed. Access to and from premises accessible from, and only from, the lengths of carriageway to be closed will be permitted. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works periods.

M27, M271 AND M275 MOTORWAYS (PORTSMOUTH AND SOUTHAMPTON) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the M27, M271 and M275 Motorways in the County of Hampshire, and the Unitary Authorities of the City of Southampton and the City of Portsmouth, under Section 14(1)(a) and 14(1)(c) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road. The effect of the Order is to:
1. authorise the phased overnight closure of -
(a) both carriageways of the M27 Motorway between Junction 1 (A31) and Junction 12 (A3/A27);
(b) both carriageways of the M271 Motorway from the A3057 Roundabout to Redbridge Roundabout (A33/A35);
(c) both carriageways of the M275 Motorway between Hilsea Interchange and Junction 2 (A3); and
(d) all slip/link roads leading to and from the lengths of carriageway described in 1. (a) - (c) above.
2. authorise the phased overnight hard-shoulder running adjacent to the lengths of carriageway described in 1. (a) - (c) above.
3. impose phased overnight 50mph speed limits on the lengths of carriageway and the slip/link roads described in 1. above.
These measures are in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake Programmed Cyclical
Maintenance (drainage, lighting, signage, inspections, surveys, maintenance and clearance of vegetation,
litter picking and clearance, road sweeping, maintenance and clearance of injurious weeds).

Traffic affected by the closures will be diverted via other junctions of the M27, M271, and M275,
or by using the M3, A3, A27, A31, A33, A35, A36, A334, A335, A336, A3024, A3057 and the A3090. The diversion route will vary depending on the closure in place. The temporary speed limit, hard shoulder running, closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
