OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (CARTERTON) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2017
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 11 December 2017 Oxfordshire County Council made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The order which comes into force on 22 December 2017 introduces a 20mph speed limit Zone in Swinbrook Road from a point 28 metres north of its junction with Manor Road, northwards for a distance of 470 metres. This replaces sections of 30mph and unrestricted road.
The Oxfordshire County Council (Carterton) (Restricted Roads) Order 2001 is revoked/replaced. A copy of the order and detailed documents may be inspected in person at County Hall, New Road, Oxford, OX1 1ND, from 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday, and at Carterton Library, 6 Alvescot Road, OX18 3JH, from 9.30am to 5pm Monday & Thursday, 9.30am to 7pm Tuesday, 10am to 7pm Friday, and from 9.30am to 1pm Saturday.
(VARIOUS ROADS - WEST OXFORDSHIRE) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND PERMITTED PARKING) (VARIATION NO. xx) ORDER 20**
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Oxfordshire County
Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The Order will further amend the Oxfordshire County Council (Various Roads - West Oxfordshire) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Permitted Parking) Order 2012 so as to make changes in Market Square, Witney to accommodate a longer bus stop by moving the existing road hump slightly northwards. The Council proposes under Section 90 of the Highways Act 1980 to construct a flat top road hump with a nominal height 100mm, ramp gradients of 1:15 and extending 7 metres at Market Square in Witney, at a point approximately 66 metres north of its junction with Corn Street. The proposed road hump will replace and be to the same specification as the existing road hump located approximately 52 metres north of the Corn Street junction.
To accommodate the above, on the west side of the road, an 11 metre length of 30 minute waiting (8am to 6pm Monday to Saturday) will be removed and replaced with No Waiting at Any Time. The length of the bus stop area will also be increased to extend over where the old hump was.

Objections to the proposals specifying the grounds on which they are made and any other representations, should be sent in writing quoting to the address below no later than 19 January 2018. The County Council will consider any objections and representations received in response to this notice. They may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.
