Essex County Council (Little Clacton Road, Clacton) (40MPH Speed Limit) Order 2017
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Sections 84(1) and (2), and Part III of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To introduce a 40MPH speed limit on the following length of Little Clacton Road, Clacton in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 280 metres south of its junction with Dead Lane, southwards for a distance of approximately 1147 metres to a point approximately 150 metres north of its junction with Constable Avenue (the road is currently national speed limit). Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 8 December 2017. Further details: A copy of the Order and plans may be examined during normal office hours at County Hall, Chelmsford CM1 1LX. Application to the high court: Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.
