OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1)
Notice of Temporary Traffic Order Denchworth, Brook Lane Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 4 December 2017 Coming into force: 12 December 2017 This Order is being introduced because of rail bridge works (electrification) which are anticipated to take 11 nights (10pm to 6am) to complete. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the length of Brook Lane that is carried by the railway bridge. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to properties before the bridge which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via Hyde Road, Main Street, School Road, Mill Orch, Summertown,A338 Station Road, Oxford Lane, Denchworth Road and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
