CITY OF YORK COUNCIL TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 30th day of November 2017 in respect of the location numbered (1). Additionally, the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Act in respect of each of the locations numbered (2), (3) and (4).
(1) YORK ROAD LEVEL CROSSING, HAXBY This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding through the York Road Level Crossing on Haxby Road, Haxby (closed road) during the period when track maintenance works are being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 2200hrs on the 2nd day of December 2017 and ending at 0600hrs on the 3rd day of December 2017 or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via Haxby Road, A1237, B1363, Mill Lane, The Village, York Road and vice versa.
(2) ROUGIER STREET, YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Rougier Street, York between its junctions with Station Road and Tanner Row (closed road) during the period commencing at 2100hrs on the 7th day of January 2018 and ending at 0500hrs on the 8th day of January 2018 (works period) or at a time when nearby building works being undertaken by crane operation from the nearby closed road have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.
(3) KENSINGTON STREET, YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Kensington Street, York between its junction with Balmoral Terrace and the southern property boundary line of No. 11 Kensington Street (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001hrs on the 8th day of January 2018 and ending at 2400hrs on the 9th day of January 2018 (works period) or at time when water works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.
(4) HEWORTH GREEN, YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding in the left hand west bound traffic lane of Heworth Green between its junction with Mill Lane and a point 70 metres east of the said junction (closed traffic lane) and prohibiting vehicles from making a left turn from Heworth Green into Mill Lane (restricted vehicle movement) during the period commencing at 0930hrs and ending at 1530hrs on the 3rd day of January 2018 (works period) or at a time water works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.
The above temporary Order will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns.
