SOUTHEND-ON-SEA BOROUGH COUNCIL (NELSON MEWS SOUTHEND-ON-SEA) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ENTRY, WAITING, LOADING & UNLOADING & TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY STREET ORDER) ORDER 2017 ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14(1)
Notice is hereby given that the Southend-on-Sea Borough Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the RoadTraffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order To temporarily close, prohibit waiting loading and unloading on that length of Nelson Mews from its junction with Nelson Street to its junction with Clifftown Road/ Scratton Road and to temporarily suspend the One-Way Street order thereby making Nelson Mews Two-way whilst the closure is in place.
that the Southend-on-Sea Borough Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.  To temporarily close, prohibit waiting loading and unloading on that length of Nelson Mews from its junction with Nelson Street to its junction with Clifftown Road/ Scratton Road and to temporarily suspend the One-Way Street order thereby making Nelson Mews Two-way whilst the closure is in place. The closure is scheduled to commence 4th December 2017 for 5 days or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The alternative routes will be Nelson Street, Capel Terrace, Alexandra Road, Wilson Road, Scratton Road, Clifftown Road to Nelson Mews.Access for Emergency vehicles and residents will be maintained where possible. The Order will come into effect on 4th December 2017 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce whilst gas main connection works take place. The prohibitions or restrictions will apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the TRAFFIC SIGNS REGULATIONS AND GENERAL DIRECTIONS 2016.
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction/prohibition imposed by this Notice may be issued with a Penalty Charge Notice and removed under the provisions of the Traffic Management Act 2004.
