Temporary Road Closure Water Lane, Richmond

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate a district water meter repair, they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which is to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Water Lane, Richmond.

2. Whilst the works take place, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in Water Lane, Richmond between a point outside No 2 Water Lane, Richmond and a point outside the north­eastern boundary of No 3 Water Lane, Richmond.

3. An alternative route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Red Lion Street, Portland Terrace, Friars Lane, Riverside and Water Lane and vice versa.

4. The order will come into effect on 11 December 2017. The restrictions will be in force at all times from 11 December 2017 until 20 December 2017 and whilst signs/cones are in place. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

6. Nothing in the Order applies to:

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames propose to make the above Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Waiting and Loading Restriction Amendment Order will be to introduce and revoke lengths of yellow lines and loading restrictions as set out in the schedule to this notice.

3. The general effect of the Parking Places Orders will be to make certain amendments to parking bays on Boileau Road, Barnes, Sandycombe Road, Kew, Stanton Road, Barnes and Station Road, Barnes as set out in the Schedule to this Order.

4. Copies of the proposed Orders, plans showing the location and effect of the proposals and the Council's Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Orders: -

(a) can be inspected, quoting Reference 17/204, at the Civic Centre (Central Reception, ground floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham between 9.15am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays, except for Bank and other public holidays; and

(b) may be viewed on the Council's web-site at http://www.richmond.gov.uk/public_notices

5. Persons wishing to object to or support the proposals or any part thereof should write to the Head of Engineering, Traffic and Parking Policy, London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, Civic Centre, 44 York Street, Twickenham TW1 3BZ within 28 days of the date of this Notice giving the grounds of their objection. 1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate a sewer connection, they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which is to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Tudor Road, Hampton.

2. Whilst the works take place, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in Tudor Road between its junctions with Parr's Place and Milton Road.

3. An alternative route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Priory Road, Percy Road, Station Approach and Ashley Road.

4. The order will come into effect on 4 December 2017. The restrictions will be in force at all times from 4 December 2017 until 13 December 2017 and whilst signs/cones are in place. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.
