EXTENSION to ORDER Notice of Temporary Byway Closure East Hanney BOAT 198/7 Byway Open to All Traffic Width Restriction of 5 feet (1.52m)
Date of Order: 3 July 2017 Came into force: 12 July 2017 This Order continues in force an emergency closure for public safety reasons of a partial closure of Halls Lane Bridge leading to Poughley Farm due to its deteriorating structure. Remedial works are necessary for future use which involve survey, design and reconstruction work and finance allocation before a timescale for repairs can be advised. The effect of the Order is to temporarily restrict the width of the bridge over Letcombe Brook situated at the eastern termination of Halls Lane, which then becomes BOAT 198/7 as it continues over the bridge. This is to prevent only use by motor vehicles and trailers which exceed 5 feet (1.52m) width.

Exemptions are included for highway repair vehicles and emergency service vehicles only. Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. This Order, with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport will remain in force until 30 May 2019 or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.
