Notice under s 122 of the Local Government Act 1972 and s 233 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 of the proposed appropriation for planning purposes and disposal of open space land of three sites as detailed below:
In accordance with the above Acts the London Borough of Croydon hereby gives notice that it intends to appropriate for planning purposes and thereafter dispose of the following land, which contain some areas of open space, to allow residential and ancillary commercial development and in respect of the Whitehorse Youth Centre site for the provision of a new youth facility with outdoor play space:
Fairfield Halls and College Green Site comprising of land bordered by George Street, Park Lane, Barclay Road and the main London to Brighton railway line; and
Former site of Taberner House and part of Queens Gardens, Park Lane Croydon CR9 3JS.
Former Whitehorse Youth Centre, Whitehorse Road, Croydon CRO 2LG and part of the Boulogne Road play area
If you have any comments or object to the proposed appropriation and/or disposal of the above land, these should be made in writing or email by 1st December 2017 to Stephen Wingrave, Head of Asset Management and Estates, London Borough of Croydon, 7th Floor, Zone D, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CRO 1EA; stephen.wingrave@croydon.gov.uk. Any comments/ objections to the proposed appropriation and/or proposed disposal of the Land will be considered by the Council.
Plans of the Land may be inspected at the London Borough of Croydon, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon CRO 1 EA from 9.30am - 4pm.
