(B709 Glenlude) (Temporary Closing) Order 2017
The Scottish Borders Council have made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 20 November 2017 and is expected to remain in effect until 1 December 2017 between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 each day. The road will be open over the weekend of 25 and 26 November 2017. The Order is required for embankment repairs. When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle along the B709 at Glenlude, south of Innerleithen.
The alternative route for northbound traffic is via the B709, A708, A707, A72 and B709 to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained with minor delays. B FRATER, Service Director Regulatory Services
