M25 MOTORWAY(JUNCTIONS 18 -21A) TEMPORARYTRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the M25 Motorway in the County of Hertfordshire, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road. The effect of the Order is:-
1. to authorise the overnight closureof-
a. the clockwise carriageway of the M25 between Junction 19 (A41) and Junction 21A (A405), and all slip roads leading to and from this length; and
b. the anti-clockwise carriageway of the M25 between Junction 21A (A405) and Junction 20 (A41), and all slip roads leading to and from this length.
2. to impose a50mph speed limit on -
a. the clockwise carriageway of the M25 between apoint 270 metres east of Chandlers Lane overbridge and apoint 300 metres west of Egg Farm Lane overbridge, and all slip roads leading to and from this length; and
b. the anti-clockwise carriageway of the M25 between apoint 1000 metres east of Bedmond Road overbridge and 40 metres south of the Junction 20 northernunderbridge, and all slip roads leading to and from this length. These measures areinthe interests of road safety while contractors undertake Gade Valley Viaduct repairs and maintenance, resurfacing works, bridge maintenance, carriageway and structural inspections, routine maintenance activities, and all associated works. It is expected that the work will last for approximately 18 months starting on or after Monday 20th November 2017.
The overnight closures will take place between (maximum period):
Monday-Thursdays 22:00-05:30
Fridays 23:00-06:00
Saturdays 22:00-06:00
Sundays 22:30 -05:30
The Order will come into force on 18 November 2017 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months. Traffic affected by the closures will be diverted using the M1, A41, A405 and A414. The diversion route in question will vary depending on the closure in place. The temporary closures, speed limits and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they areinoperation during the works period.
