ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984-SECTION 14 THE A66 TRUNK ROAD
(YARM ROAD INTERCHANGE TO TEESSIDE PARK INTERCHANGE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the A66 Trunk Road, in the District of Stockton-on-Tees and Middlesborough, to enable vegetation clearance, sign removal and installation works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to start on Monday 13 November 2017 for 4 months or until completed, and will take place between 8pm and 6am. The effect of the Order will be to close, at times during the works, the:
(i) A66 eastbound carriageway from the exit slip road at Elton Junction to the entry slip road at Yarm Road Interchange, a distance of
2800 metres,
(ii) A66 eastbound and westbound entry and exit slip roads at Yarm Road Interchange,
(iii) A66 eastbound entry and exit and westbound exit slip roads at Boathouse Lane Interchange,
(iv) A66 eastbound exit and westbound entry slip roads Thornaby Road Interchange,
(v) A66 eastbound exit and westbound entry slip roads at Teesside Park Interchange,
(vi) dedicated link roads connecting the A66 eastbound carriageway with the A19 Trunk Road southbound carriageway and northbound carriageway at Teesside Park Interchange.
During the closures suitably signed alternative routes will be available at all times.
Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibitions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance). The Order comes into force on 12 November 2017 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.
THE A66(M) MOTORWAY AND A66 TRUNK ROAD
(BLACKWELL ROUNDABOUT TO BLANDS CORNER ROUNDABOUT)
(TEMPORARY 50 MILES PER HOUR AND 40 MILES PER HOUR
SPEED RESTRICTION)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited
intends to make an Order on the A66(M) Motorway and the A66 Trunk
Road, in the Districts of Darlington and Richmondshire, to enable road
lighting replacement works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to start on Monday 4 December 2017 for 5 days
or until completed, and will take place between 8pm and 6am.
The effect of the Order will be to impose, a temporary 50mph and 40mph
speed restriction on:
(i) the A66(M) eastbound carriageway from the U1343 Moor Lane Junction to Blackwell Roundabout, a distance of 2622 metres;
(ii) the A66 eastbound and westbound carriageways between Blackwell Roundabout and Blands Corner Roundabout, a distance of
840 metres; and
(iii) Blackwell Roundabout, a distance of 394 metres.
Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the restrictions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or special forces vehicles). Access will be maintained at all times to premises and properties, which are accessible from, and only from, the A66(M) and the A66. The Order comes in to force on the 3 December 2017 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.
