Notice of Cancellation pursuant to
section 5 ofthe Act Notice is hereby given that the Authority has, pursuant to the Co-operative and Community Benefi Societies Act 2014, this day cancelled the registration of Close House and District Workmen's Club and Institute Limited (Register No. 7086 R) the registered office of which is at Close House, Bishop Auckland, County Durham, DL14 8RR. The
grounds of the cancellation are that the society has wilfully violated
section 89 of the Co-operative and Community Beneff Societies Act 2014
by not submitting to the Authority any annual returns acceptable for fling
since that submitted for the society's financial year ending 31 December 2010.
The society ceases to enjoy the
privileges of a registered society, but without prejudice to any liability incurred by the society, which may be enforced against it as if such
cancellation had not taken place.
