ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL
APPERLEY ROAD, APPERLEY BRIDGE TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC (NO.766) ORDER
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason to enable bridge repair works proposed to be executed on or near Apperley Road, Apperley Bridge intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Apperley Road between the points approximately 5 metres before and after it passes over the Milman Swing Bridge in either direction.
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to emergency vehicles and vehicles being used in connection with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available via Apperley Road (unaffected section), Hemingway Road, A657 Leeds Road/New Line, A658 Harrogate Road and vice versa. The proposed Order will come into effect on 20th November 2017 and remain in force until 15th December 2017 (both dates inclusive) (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
