NORTH YORK MOORS NATIONAL PARK AUTHORITY (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) FOOTPATH 24 HELMSLEY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14(1) (AS AMENDED)
The North York Moors National Park Authority has made an Order, the effect of which is to make the following closure in the parish of Helmsley in the District of Ryedale.
No pedestrian shall proceed along footpath 24 Helmsley, commencing at Grid Reference (GR) SE6123884100 (Point A) 50m north of Carlton Lane and extending further north for a further 220 metres until it reaches the corner of the bowling green at GR SE
6115684320.
The alternative route is to follow the footway that leaves Carlton Lane and continues north east for 80 metres and then a further 90 metres north along Elmslac Road where it then turns north east along Faversham Road for 280 metres where it then turns north along Carlton Road for a further 220 metres. Where it then turns left to head west for a further 80 metres along public footpath 517025 where it re-joins the original right of way.
The closure will be put into effect by means of the erection of notices and signs.
The Order is necessary due to danger to the public from maintenance works associated with the repair of the surface of the right of way.
