THE A68 TRUNK ROAD (LAUDER) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION ON USE OF ROAD) ORDER 2017
THE SCOTTISH MINISTERS give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, temporarily prohibiting traffic on that length of the A68 Edinburgh - Carter Bar Trunk Road from its junction with Brownmuir Park, Lauder, south to its junction with the unclassified Blainslie Road Junction, a total distance of 1.85 kilometres or thereby. The Order, which is required to facilitate the Parade of Tractors charity event, will be in operation from 5th November 2017 until 6th November 2017 and will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of the length of road as is indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. The Order does not apply to vehicles while being used in an emergency for fire brigade, ambulance, police or coastguard purposes or a vehicle being used for facilitating the holding of the relevant event. The alternative routes for traffic during the prohibition will be signposted should they be required.
