(DERWENT HAVEN, HAMSTERLEY COLLIERY) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2017
The Council on 26/10/17 made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, to close to all vehicular traffic a 50m length of Derwent Haven between Derwent Cres. & no. 4 Derwent Haven and also a 55m length between Derwent Cres. & no. 56 Derwent Haven, Hamsterley Colliery to enable water mains renewal works to be undertaken. The maximum duration of the temporary closure under the Order is 18 months and is required from 28/10/17 and for the duration of the works, anticipated to be 2 weeks. However, on rare occasions, alternative dates for closures may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly. Alternative route: locally via Derwent Crescent and the open section of Derwent Haven.
