1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Haringey, under sections 90A and 90C of the Highways Act 1980 (as amended) and the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 proposes to introduce speed humps, under Sections 65 and 66 of the Highways Act 1980 (as amended) proposes to introduce sections of unsegregated Cycle Track and proposes to extend the lengths of certain waiting restrictions and reduce the lengths of certain parking places with the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, as detailed below.
2. It is proposed that: -
(a) existing speed cushions located in Tynemouth Road N17 would be converted into sinusoidal speed humps, located: -
(i) outside Nos. 60 and 62 Tynemouth Road and outside Nos 33 and 35 Tynemouth Road;
(ii) outside 104 and 106 Tynemouth Road and outside No. 75 Tynemouth Road and the flank wall of No. 151 Broad Lane;
(b) new sinusoidal speed humps would be introduced in Antill Road N17, located: -
(i) outside Nos. 10 and 12 Antill Road and Sophia House;
(ii) outside Nos. 32 and 34 Antill Road and Nos. 31 and 33 Antill Road;
(iii) along the flank walls of No. 9 Tynemouth Road and the London Trimmings property; the speed humps would be approximately 4 metres in length, including the ramps. They would be 75 millimetres in height and would extend across the full width of the carriageway;
(c) the existing double yellow line waiting restrictions in Tynemouth Road located outside, and opposite, the Tynemouth Medical Practice would be extended by a distance of 9 metres;
(d) pedal cycle contraflows would be introduced in: -
(i) Antill Road, between the northern kerb-line of Broad Lane and a point 13 metres north of that kerb-line in a north to south direction;
(ii) Tynemouth Road, between it's the western kerb-line of Copperfield Road and a point 13 metres east of the western kerb-line of Hanover Road, in an east to west direction; these would allow cycles to proceed in these areas of road against the flow of traffic;
(e) shared use cycle tracks, for the use of both pedestrians and pedal cycles, would be introduced in Tynemouth Road at its junction with Antill Road, located: -
(i) on the north side, between the eastern kerb-line of Antill Road and a point 4 metres east of the common boundary of Nos. 32 and 34 Tynemouth Road, for the full width of the carriageway; and
(ii) on the south side, between the western kerb-line of Antill Road and a point 14 metres west of that kerb-line, for the full width of the carriageway.
3. Plans showing the locations of the speed humps and cycle tracks may be inspected for a period of 21 days from the date of this Notice during normal office working hours at the reception desk, Alexandra House, 10 Station Road, Wood Green, N22 7TR or can be viewed online at www.haringey.gov.uk/traffic_orders.
4. Copies of the proposed Orders and of the Council's statement of reasons for making the Orders and plans showing the locations and effects of the Orders may be inspected during normal office working hours until the end of a period of 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders are made or the Council decides not to make the Orders, at the reception desk, Alexandra House, 10 Station Road, Wood Green, N22 7TR or can be viewed online at www.haringey.gov.uk/traffic_orders.
5. Any person desiring to object to the proposals should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof, or their representation, to the Traffic Management Group, Alexandra House, 5th Floor, 10 Station Road, Wood Green, N22 7TR or to traffic.orders@haringey.gov.uk within 21 days from the date on which this Notice is published.
