Notice is hereby given that an Inspector will be appointed by the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs to determine Essex County Council Public Path Diversion Order 2016 Footpath 2 Great Waltham in The City of Chelmsford & Public Path Diversion Order 2016 Footpath 16 Barnston and Footpath 2 Great Waltham in The District of Uttlesford and The City of Chelmsford & Public Path Diversion Order 2016 Footpath 26 Barnston in The District of Uttlesford Public Path Diversion Order 2016 Footpath 97 Great Waltham in The City of Chelmsford And will attend at: Ford End: St John the Evangelist, Church Lane/Sandon Hill, Ford End, Essex, CM3 1LJ On Tuesday 21 November 2017 at 10.00am To hold a public local inquiry into the Orders. The effect of the Orders, if confirmed without modifications, will be to divert a part length of the public Footpaths 2 & 97 Great Waltham and 16 & 26 Barnston in the district of the City of Chelmsford:- A part length of Footpath 2 Great Waltham starting from grid reference 56642,21962 and running in a generally southerly direction around the east side of the pond for a distance of 160 metres to grid reference 56643,21948 where it connects to Footpath 97 Great Waltham. Then continuing in a west north westerly direction along the existing track for a distance of 68 metres to where it connects to footpath 26 Barnston is being diverted to an alternative route.
A part length of Footpath 16 Barnston starting from the field gate at grid reference 56593,21932 and running in a north easterly and then an easterly direction along the existing track for a distance of 390 metres to grid reference 56630,21932 where it connects to Footpath 26 Great Waltham, then continuing in an easterly direction along the track to the parish boundary where it continues as Footpath 2 Great Waltham, for a further distance of 104 metres to grid reference 56640,21931 where it connects to footpath 2 Great Waltham will be diverted to an alternative route commencing at the same above point and running in a north easterly and then a easterly direction along a route adjacent and to the south of the track for a distance of 385 metres to grid reference 56629,21931, then continuing in an easterly direction for a distance of 110 metres to grid reference 56640,21930 where it connects to footpath 2 Great Waltham but 4 metres further south than the current path.
A part length of Footpath 26 Barnston starting from grid reference 56630,21932 where it connects to Footpath 16 Barnston and running in a northerly then north westerly direction for a distance of 192 metres to grid reference 56638,21949 south of Apchild Barn will be diverted to an alternative route commencing from grid reference 56629,21932 where it connects to Footpath 16 Barnston but 7 metres further west than the current path and running in a northerly then north westerly direction parallel and to the west of the current path for a distance of 198 metres to the above mentioned point.
A part of Footpath 97 Great Waltham starting from grid reference 56643,21948 and running in a south westerly then a south easterly and then a north easterly direction, following the line of the existing track for a distance of 140 metres to grid reference 56654,21949 at the track junction, will be diverted to a new route 2 metres wide, commencing at grid reference 56654,21949 and running in a northwesterly direction for a distance of 180 metres grid reference 56642,21962 where it joins Footpath 2.

(Sandford Mill Road, Springfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2017
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Sandford Mill Road, Springfield in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 250m west of its junction with Chelmer Village Way, for a further 68m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th November 2017 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (NK100/SSEMFI/100183215 -Virgin Media). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while install tee and lay 1m duct works are undertaken by Virgin Media. An alternative route is available via Brook End Road South, Kingsford Drive, Chelmer Village Way and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 19th October 2017 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
