M25 MOTORWAY(JUNCTIONS 19-24) TEMPORARYTRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited intends to make an Order on the M25 Motorway in the Counties of Hertfordshireand Buckinghamshire, under Section 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works areproposed to be executed on the road. The effect of the Order would be to permit during overnight works, as advised by traffic signs, HGVs to use the outside lane under lane closureconditions in the clockwise carriageway of the M25 between -
(i) the tip of the nosing of the exit slip road at Junction 19 (A41), and apoint 290 metres south-west of Egg Farm Lane overbridge;
(ii) apoint 450 metres east of Bedmond Road overbridge, and the tip of the nosing of the entry slip road at Junction 21A (A405);
(iii) apoint 250 metres south-east of the St Albans Road (B556) underbridge, and a the tip of the nosing of the exit slip road at Junction 23 (A1(M)); and
(iv) apoint 890 metres east of Baker Street underbridge, and Cattegate Road underbridge.
These measures would be in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake gantry sign repairs and all associated works. It is expected that the work would last for approximately 4weeks starting on or after Tuesday 14th November 2017. The overnight closures would take place between (maximum period):
Monday - Thursday nights 22:00-05:30
Friday nights 23:00-06:00
The Order would come into force on
12 November 2017 and have amaximum
duration of eighteen months.
The temporary lane closures and outside lane
running would be clearly indicated by traffic
signs when they areinoperation during the
works period.
