High Court Injunction Order against "Persons Unknown"
On Wednesday 4th October 2017, the High Court granted an Injunction for 3 years preventing anyone (Persons Unknown) from:
1. Setting-up an encampment on any Land identified on the map numbered 1 to 130, except for sites numbered 39 and 119, without written permission from the Local Planning Authority, or, planning permission granted by a planning inspector;
2. From entering and/or occupying any part of the Land identified on the map numbered 1 to 130, except for sites numbered 39 and 119, for residential purposes (temporary or otherwise) including the occupation of caravans/mobile homes, storage of vehicles, caravans and residential paraphernalia;
3. From bringing onto the Land identified on the map numbered 1 to 130, except for sites numbered 39 and 119, or stationing on the Land any caravans/mobile homes other than when driving through the Borough of Enfield or in compliance with the Parking Orders regulating the use of car parks or with express permission from the owners of the Land.
4. From bringing onto the Land identified on the map numbered 1 to 130, except for sites numbered 39 and 119, any vehicle whether for the purposes of disposal of waste and materials or otherwise, other than when driving through the Borough of Enfield or in compliance with the Parking Orders regulating the use of car parks or with express permission from the owners of the Land.
The Injunction Order contains a Penal Notice which means anyone breaching it will be in contempt of court. The Injunction Order remains in force until 3rd October 2020. From 10th October 2017, High Court bailiffs served (posted) the Injunction Order to all entrances to Enfield's parks and open spaces.
