Essex County Council (London Road, Maldon) (40mph Speed Limit) Order 2017
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Sections 84(1) and (2), and Part III of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To introduce a 40MPH speed limit on the following length of London Road, Maldon in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 49.7 metres west of its junction with Beacon Hill (the terminal point of the 30mph speed limit), westwards for approximately 395 metres (the road is currently national speed limit). Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 6 October 2017. Further details: A copy of the Order and plans may be examined during normal office hours at County Hall, Chelmsford CM1 1LX. Application to the high court: Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.
(Footpath 30, Tollesbury) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2017
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Footpath 30, Tollesbury in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 1150 metres generally east of its junction with Footpath 12, Tollesbury north east for a distance of approximately 100 metres. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16 October 2017 for 3 weeks or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while repair works to the tidal embankment are undertaken by the Environment Agency. The alternative route will run parallel to closure on access berm to rear of embankment. The Order will come into effect on 16 October 2017 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier. (Stow Road, Cold Norton) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2017
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Stow Road, Cold Norton in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 55m west of its junction with Hackmans Lane for a distance of approximately 120m in a southwesterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 25th October 2017 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30034778517 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new electrical connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks. An alternative route is available via Woodham Road, Lower Burnham Road, Fambridge Road, Latchingdon Road and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 19th October 2017 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier. Dated: 05/10/2017
