ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTPATH ST ALBANS CITY 12
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath St Albans City 12, from junction with FP15 to Sumpter Yard, for an approximate distance of 120 metres.
Alternative route: via north side of cathedral and FP13 The purpose of the Order is to enable cathedral maintenance works to take place. The section of Footpath will be closed on or after 13th October 2017 for up to 6 months, when signs are in place.

NOTICE OF MODIFICATION ORDER SECTION 53 OF THE WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT OF PUBLIC RIGHTS OF WAY IN HERTFORDSHIRE THE HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (ST STEPHEN 96) MODIFICATION ORDER 2017
The above Order made on 29th September 2017, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Mapand Statement for the area by:-
Adding to them a Byway Open to All Traffic commencing from a junction with Blunts Lane (public highway) at TL 1173 0447 running generally west north west along the unclassified road for approximately 190 metres to a junction with St Stephen Footpath 36a at TL 1156 0456. Continuing generally west northwest for approximately 265 metres to the eastern embankment of the M1 Motorway at TL 1131 0463.
A copy of the Order and the Order Plan may be seen free of charge at Front Reception of Hertfordshire County Council, County Hall, Hertford, from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm on Monday to Friday and at St Albans District Council, Civic Centre, St Peter's St, St Albans AL1 3JE. Copies of the Order and Plan may be bought at the price of £2.
Any representation or objection relating to the Order must be sent in writing to the Definitive Map Officer, Rights of Way Unit, Environment Department, Hertfordshire County Council, County Hall, Hertford, Hertfordshire SG13 8DN (ref: STA49) to arrive no later than 23rd November 2017 and applicants must include particulars of the grounds on which it is made. If no representations or objections are duly made to the Order, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Hertfordshire County Council, instead of submitting the Order to the Secretary! of State may itself confirm the Order If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment, any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it.
