A3 TRUNK ROAD (ESHER TO HOOK) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the A3 Trunk Road in the County of Surrey,under Section14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road. The effect of the Order is to authorise the overnight closure o fboth carriageways between Esher Common (A244) and Hook Underpass (A309). These measures are in the interests of road safety while TFL conduct carriageway works between Hook Underpass and Tolworth on the A3.
It is expected that the work will last for approximately 4 weeks starting on or after Wednesday 18th October 2017. The overnight closures will take place between (maximum period): Monday-Thursdays 22:00-05:30 Fridays 23:00-06:00
The Order will come into force on 16 October 2017 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months. Traffic affected by the closures will be diverted using A24, A240, A243, A244, A298, A307, A309, A2022, B279, Bridge Road, Chessington Road, Moor Lane and Ruxley Road. The diversion route will vary depending on the closure in place.
The temporary closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they areinoperation during the works period.
