OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984-SECTION 14(1)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order Idbury - Foscot, road through Idbury Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 16 October 2017 Coming into force: 19 October 2017 This Order is being introduced because of electrical cable installation works which are anticipated to take a total of 13 weeks work and will be carried out in 3 phases. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the following sections of road;

Phase 1: Idbury, section of road between the junctions ofA424 & Idbury Road;
Phase 2: Idbury; section between Idbury Road & Church Street;
Phase 3: Idbury, from Church Street, to Foscot junction with Rose Cottage.

Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is anticlockwise via the B4450 & A436 towards Stow-on-the-Wold;A429 -A424 - left turn towards Idbury - and vice-versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner
