CASSOP PARISH) TURSDALE) (TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2014
The above-named Order made by the Council on 08/12/14, under section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and which became operational on 14/12/14 has been continued in force from 01/10/17, as approved by the Secretary of State for Transport, until 31/03/19 or until completion of the works, whichever is the earlier. The effect of the Order is to temporarily close to all pedestrian traffic a 10m length of Footpath No. 5 Cassop-cum-Quarrington Parish that is carried by Tursdale Beck Footbridge, south west of Tursdale Bus. Park. An alternative route will be available to pedestrian traffic from Footpath No. 5 at the eastern side of the railway line northwards via Footpath No.3 adjacent to the Railway line then westwards under the rail bridge along Footpath No. 4 crossing Broom Hill Footbridge and continuing westward on Footpath No. 33 Croxdale & Hett Parish to the junction with Footpath No. 34 which leads south easterly to the western side of the closure, and vice versa.
(DURHAM CITY NORTH EAST) (PARKING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2015 (AMENDMENT NO. 1) ORDER 2017
The Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32 & 35 & Pt IV of Sch. 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect being to:
(1) Freemans Place: replace the existing Parking 20 mins no return within 1 hour layby with a Loading Only restriction; (2) Elvet Waterside - replace one existing Parking Mon-Sat 8am-6pm Permit holders (Zone C) or Pay at machine Display ticket bays on with a Parking Car Club Permit Holders Only restriction;
(3) Old Elvet (outside Old Shire Hall) - (a) remove the existing Cycle Parking; (b) remove the two existing Electric vehicle recharging points; (c) relocate one existing Disabled badge holder only parking place to allow for the introduction of a buildout; (d) Introduce Parking Mon-Sat 8am-6pm Permit holders (Zone C) or Pay at machine Display ticket; The proposed changes to Parking Place restrictions noted above will also require changes to be made to The County Council of Durham (Durham City) (On Street Parking Places - Tariffs & Permits) Order 2014.

(BLACKHILL AND SHOTLEY BRIDGE) (PARKING & WAITING RESTRICTIONS) CONSOLIDATION NO. 2 ORDER 2017
The Council on 21/09/17 made the above Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35 & 124 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, ("the Act") and Pt 6 of the Traffic Management Act 2004, the effects of which become operational on 16/10/17. The effect of the Consolidation Order is to consolidate/re-enact without any change to the substantive provisions of the following orders: (1) The County Council of Durham (Blackhill & Shotley Bridge) (Parking and Waiting Restrictions) ConsolidationNo. 1 Order2015; (2) TheCountyCouncilofDurham(Blackhill& Shotley Bridge) (Parking and Waiting Restrictions) Consolidation No. 1 (Amendment No 1) Order 2015 and The County of Durham (Ritson Road, Blackhill) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order, 1989.

(1) Abbots Row, Bainbridge St, Briar Rd, Broome Rd, Coronation Ave, Deans Walk, Filby Drive, Friars Row, Grinstead Way, Hawthorn Rd, Hornbeam Cl, Kinley Rd, Monks Cres, Nuns Row, Oakham Dr, Romney Dr, Prebends Field, School View, The Larches; and (ii) part lengths of the following roads, incl. all side streets and back lanes (entire lengths): Magdalene Ave from 6m south east of its junction with Unc 27.6 High Street in a south easterly direction, High St from its junction with Unc Magdalene Avenue in a generally northerly direction to a point 7m east of its junction with Unc 27.6 High Street and easterly direction between properties 125 & 141, Pilgrims Way from a point 15m north of its junction with Unc Bradford Cres in a northerly direction Poplar Rd from 8m north of its junction with C13 Broomside Lane in a north westerly direction, Ramside View from 20m south east of its junction with Unc 27.6 High St in a south easterly direction, St Mary's Rd from 5m north of its junction with C13 Broomside Lane in a north westerly direction, Un-named road linking Unc 27.6 High St and Wantage Rd / Grinstead Way from 27m south of its junction with Unc 27.6 High St in a southerly direction, Un-named link road linking C13 and Willowtree Ave from 33m south west of its junction with C13 in a southerly direction, Wantage Rd from 10m north of its junction with C13 Broomside Lane in a northerly direction, Willowtree Ave from 26m north west of its junction with Rowan Tree Avenue in a north easterly direction. (VARIOUS STREETS - WESTERN HILL AND NORTH END, DURHAM CITY) MPH ZONE) ORDER 2017
The Council on 21/09/17 made an Order under Sections 81, 82, 84 & 87 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act1984, as amended ("theAct"), the effects of which will come into operationon 29/09/17 and introduces a 20mph ZONE on
(A) the entire lengths of: Albert St, Back Western Hill, Fieldhouse Lane, Fieldhouse Terr, Flassburn Rd, Larches Rd, Millbank Ct, Princes' St, Shaw Wood Cl, Springfield Pk, Springwell Ave, Springwell Rd, The Grove, Valeside (includes all side streets and back lanes); and
(B) The Crescent (North Crescent) from 13mts south west of its junction with Unc. 27.6 North End in a south westerly direction for its entire length and Obelisk Lane from 17mts west of its junction with Unc. 27.6 North Road in a westerly direction for its entire length. A copy of the sealed Order & plans may be inspected at County Hall, Durham & Durham Clayport Library during normal opening hours & via the Council website.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the above 2 Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by "the Act", or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made under it has not been complied with, may within 6 weeks from 28/09/17 apply to make an application for that purpose to the High Court.
