Herefordshire Council Notice of Making

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, under its relevant powers, have made the C1120 from the A49 via Moreton-on-Lugg, Hereford, Temporary Closure Order 2017 to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the following road: C1120 from the A49 via Moreton-on-Lugg approximately 75m east of Brooklands House and accross the rail crossing for approximately 20m over the bridge OS Grid Ref: 351214 / 245853. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via A49 onto the C1122 towards Marden onto the C1120 and vice versa. The said closure is required due to the replacement of damaged coping stone and painting works to the bridge and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 2nd October 2017 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months, (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State), but the works are expected to be completed within 3 days.
