Herefordshire Council Notice of Making

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, under its relevant powers, have made the U93600 Brierley Lane, Leominster, Temporary Closure Order 2017 to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the following road: U93600 Brierley Lane approximately a quarter mile west of Pear Tree Cottage for 50 meters OS Grid Ref: 348962 / 256180. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the B4361 onto Ryelands Road onto Ivington Road onto Brierley Lane and vice versa. The said closure is required due to the installation of a new gas pipe and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 2nd October 2017 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months, (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State), but the works are expected to be completed within 5 days.
