ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)(a) THE A49 TRUNK ROAD (HOLMER TO HEREFORD, HEREFORDSHIRE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2017

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited (Company No. 9346363) intends to make an order on the A49 Trunk Road, in the City of Hereford and the County of Herefordshire, to enable road markings and road stud replacement works to be carried out. The effect of the Order will be to -

(a) close the A49 between its junction with the A438 Eign Street, at Hereford, to its roundabout junction with the A4103, at Holmer; and
(b) prohibit any vehicle from entering or leaving the length of trunk road described in a) above at its junction with any side road.

The work will be carried out overnight between 20:00 hours and 06:00 hours and is expected to start on Monday 16 October 2017 and continue for one month. The Order will come into force on 9 October 2017. Vehicles being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes and vehicles being used in connection with the works will be exempt from the closure. Access to properties will be maintained at all times. Diversion routes via Eign Street, Friars Street, Three Elms Road/A4110, Roman Road/A4103, Aylestone Hill/A465, and Blue School St/A438 will be signed.
