A3 TRUNK ROAD (ESHER TO HOOK) TEMPORARYTRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited intends to make an Order on the A3 Trunk Road in the County of Surrey, under Section 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road. The effect of the Order would be to authorise the overnight closureofboth carriageways between Esher Common (A244) and Hook Underpass (A309).
These measures would be in the interests of road safety while TFL conduct carriageway works between Hook Underpass and Tolworth on the A3. It is expected that the work would last for approximately 4weeks starting on or after Wednesday 18th October 2017. The overnight closures would take place between (maximum period): Monday-Thursdays 22:00-05:30 Fridays 23:00-06:00
The Order would come into force on 16 October 2017 and have amaximum duration of eighteen months. Traffic affected by the closures would be diverted using A24, A240, A243, A244, A298, A307, A309, A2022, B279, Bridge Road, Chessington Road, Moor Lane and Ruxley Road. The diversion route will vary depending on the closureinplace. The temporary closures and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they areinoperation during the works period.
