DARLINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL (PUBLIC FOOTPATHS 4 AND 6 GREAT STAINTON) DIVERSION ORDER 2017

The above named Order made on the 8th September 2017 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert the lengths of public footpath described in Part 1 of the Schedule to the routes described in Part 2 of the Schedule below. The routes of the footpaths run through Hauxley Farm, Great Stainton and can be seen marked on the Order Map. A copy of the Order and the Order Map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at Darlington Borough Council, 17 Allington Way, Darlington DL1 4QB from 9.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays. Copies of the Order and Map may be bought there at the price of 50p. Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to the Assistant Director - Law and Governance, Darlington Borough Council, Town Hall, Feethams, Darlington DL1 5QT (quoting reference AE) not later than the 13th October 2017. Please state the grounds on which they are made. If no such representations or objections aredulymade, orifanysomade are withdrawn, Darlington Borough Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.

DESCRIPTION OF SITES OF EXISTING PATHS IN GREAT STAINTON
Footpath No.4 Starting at point C, NZ 33093 21939 on Footpath 4 going west across arable field, into the farm yard to Point B, NZ 32517 21832 where it connects with Footpath 6. Then going south west across fields to Point D, NZ 32210 21661. Width undefined.
Footpath No.6 Starting at Point A, NZ 32918 21715 on Footpath 6 going west across fields to Point B, NZ 3251721832 at the farm buildings where it connects with Footpath 4. Width undefined.

PART 2

DESCRIPTION OF SITES OF NEW PATH IN GREAT STAINTON
Footpath No.4 Starting at Point C, NZ 33093 21939 on Footpath 4 going north west, then north, then west along headlands to Point E NZ 32693 22065. Then south west along headland, crossing access track at Point F NZ 32503 21994, continuing along headland turning south east for a short distance. Then going south west along headland, through gap at Point G NZ3224421770 and continuing along the headland and turning south east to join Point D NZ3221021661.Width 1.5 metres.

Limitations: At points E NZ 32693 22065, F NZ 32503 21994 and G NZ 32244 21770 there will be gaps in the hedges at least 1.5 metres wide which will comply with BS 5709.2006 Footpath No.O Starting at Point A, NZ 32918 21715 going north east along field headland to Point C, NZ33093 21939 where it connects with Footpath 4. Width 1.5 metres.
