A34 TRUNK ROAD (OXFORDSHIRE) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the A34 Trunk Road in the County of Oxfordshire, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road. The effect of the Order is to authorise the:

a) overnight closure of:

i. the roads leading to and from the northbound carriageway of the A34 at West Ilsley Interchange;
ii. the road leading from the southbound carriageway of the A34 at Kidlington Interchange (Kidlington Road); and
iii. the road leading from the southbound carriageway of the A34 at Islip Interchange (B4027).

b) the 24 hour closure of the laybys on both carriageways of the A34 between Islip Interchange (B4027) and Weston-on-the-Green (B430).

These measures are in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake sign replacement and all associated works. It is expected that the work will last for approximately 9 weeks starting on or after Monday 25th September 2017. The overnight closures will take place between 22:00 an 06:00 (maximum period). The Order will come into force on 23 September 2017 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months. Traffic affected by the closures will be diverted using the A34, A44, A4185, A4260, B4027 and Bicester Road.
