Dorset County Council Temporary Closure Of Public Footpath No 21 Lyme Regis

DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic [Temporary Restrictions] Act 1991. All pedestrians will be prohibited from proceeding along footpath W2/21 from grid reference SY 340 935 to grid reference SY 340 932 a distance of approximately 380 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on the 13 September 2017 for a period of 26 weeks until 12 March 2018. But it can be, extended, with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary. The order is required for Health and Safety reasons to allow ExJet to carry out works to link in the new sewer system. A locally signed diversion route will be signposted on site.
